We attended the Annual Dutch Stallion
Show in Den Bosch February 2012: This year's winning jumping stallion's dam is by 'Goodtimes',
the same sire as our mare 'Gigi'.
Nancy picked the winning dressage stallion, (out of about 100 stallions) and
received a KWPN cooler!

March 24-26th, 2011 Annual Dutch Meeting - KWPN North America, DG Bar Ranch Education, hospitality, hands-on evaluation of horses....We participated in the annual dutch member's meeting
and spent time re-connecting with old friends, making new friends, and again, learning a lot about conformation, gaits, 'suitability'.
Next year, we are all going to Holland for the yearly meeting! :)

Happy third birthday Daltry!
Horses tell us when they are ready for 'work', and we listen to them. Daltry has returned from
the trainer's and is back out to pasture. We will re-evaluate him for under-saddle work in about six months.
One of our favorite foals, Daltry, "elegant & athletic", just left home and is starting ground
work- thank you Lisa! He will return to pasture after his 'basic work' and will be considered for under-saddle work
depending on his physical growth.

Gigi is officially in foal to dressage stallion Rousseau! (see mare pages for details) Her approximate due date
is May 20th, 2011. This foal promises to be a super dressage prospect as it will carry the bloodlines of Michellino,
Ferro, Roemer and Nimmerdor.

Dressage Diva Arrives! January 27, 2010
A new filly, Elicha CR, (Ellie), all of 7 months old, arrived from Canada to augment our mare band.
She has three fantastic gaits and a very laid-back temperament. We will update our mares page with all the details soon!
Meanwhile, I am spending as much time outside as I can, just watching her out in pasture :)

Good as Gold, received his Oldenburg North America Stallion License Approval. This means he met the standards
required to be considered worthy of breeding. Congratulations to his breeder, Laura, at Goldhope Farm!
Good as Gold comes from the same dam and sire (and breeder) as our mare Good to be Queen or 'Gigi'.
Vineyard Expands - May 24 & 25, 2009
200 new Syrah vines were just planted in the vineyard! Vines are just like horses.......it
takes years of patience bringing them along before you taste the fruit of your labor. For now, all we have to look at
is 8 inch-tall plants, BUT there are leaves budding out!

Steffen Peters rides Ravel - March 20, 21 2009
We attended the National Meeting of the KWPN -NA in Del Mar, California. HIGHLIGHTS: We watched
Steffen Peters and Ravel perform their new Grand-Prix freestyle (the same one they won with at the Las Vegas World
Cup a month later!), and we saw Idocus perform at age 19! (See article about Idocus in the USDF July 2009 issue).
What gorgeous horses and talented riders!! We also learned a lot about how to score a horse using the
'keuring' linear scoring system, and how to best match a stallion for your mare.
Northern California Forest Fires - June 2008
Northern California has endured over 1000 fires in the last two weeks.
Luckily, the closest fire has been 40 miles away and contained. All horses are safe, though we continue to
water pastures 24/7, and we continue to have very smokey and 'thick' air.
New Future Broodmare Arrives April 2008
